PBL Scenario Task Force 2013
(formerly known as Transforming Instruction with PBL/SBL)
In this workshop faculty complete the PBL Scenario Task Force scenario that guides them through the process of developing and implementing problem-based scenarios and tasks for their own classroom. Selected tasks will be added to the National PBL Library on the learnpbl site. Participants will explore existing scenarios that you can use in your classroom today, develop new SBL tasks, and address assessment issues, and prepare to implement their new tasks in their own classroom. We discuss obstacles inherent in changing the way you teach, and the support provided by industry and the National Science Foundation as you integrate a scenario into your classroom.
Facilitators-in-Training
Leads instructors who are already using PBL in their classes to mentor others through the process of developing and implementing problem-based scenarios and tasks, be an innovation leader on their campus, create a community of PBL instructors, find support from key stakeholders and gatekeepers, and find funding for delivering the training and supporting innovation.
